DESCRIPTION:Note- This registration is for a two day training on Saturday,
  August 8th, and Sunday, August 9th. Attendance at both sessions is requir
 ed.Create connections and serve your community by volunteering as an Adult
  Literacy Tutor at Santa Barbara Public Library!Tutors are trained and the
 n matched with an adult English Language Learner or adult English speaker 
 to achieve literacy, educational, and work-related goals. Tutors meet with
  Learners once a week for a 60-minute session at the Library and have full
  access to the Literacy Center.Tutors are provided ongoing support through
  skills trainings, one-to-one sessions with the Literacy Services Libraria
 n and staff, as well as skills workshops and appreciation events.Please re
