DESCRIPTION:Note- This registration is for a two day training on Saturday,
  December 5th, and Sunday, December 6th. Attendance at both sessions is re
 quired.Create connections and serve your community by volunteering as an A
 dult Literacy Tutor at Santa Barbara Public Library!Tutors are trained and
  then matched with an adult English Language Learner or adult English spea
 ker to achieve literacy, educational, and work-related goals. Tutors meet 
 with Learners once a week for a 60-minute session at the Library and have 
 full access to the Literacy Center.Tutors are provided ongoing support thr
 ough skills trainings, one-to-one sessions with the Literacy Services Libr
 arian and staff, as well as skills workshops and appreciation events.Pleas

 ity is right for you.Parking is available at City lots near the library. T
