Details/Detalles

Join us for a three-week book club devoted to an in-depth reading of Golden Gates by Conor Dougherty, which explores America’s housing crisis from its root causes to the activist movements it is inspiring through the lens of personal stories of people impacted and those trying to make a difference. Discussion will be informed by the experiences of local residents who have experienced homelessness or are currently unhoused to allow for a nuanced exploration of the housing crisis locally. This in-person book club will meet at the Central Library on Tuesdays (2/21, 2/28, and 3/7). Participants will receive a free copy of Golden Gates. Limited to 12 participants. Registration is required.

This project was supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
