SB Reads Book Discussion: My Invented Country

Isabel Allende's A Long Petal of the Sea follows Victor and Roser, and they escape the Spanish Civil War and build new lives in Chile, only to experience political turmoil in their new, adopted country as well. 

Allende's memoir, My Invented Country, explores her life, anchored by the assassination of her uncle Salvador Allende when Augusto Pinochet came to power through a military coup, and the attacks of September 11 in her newly adopted homeland, America.
