We invite you to join us at the Montecito Library for Poetry Club. Maya Angelou was a poet, storyteller, autobiographer, performer, and activist. She wrote numerous celebrated volumes of poetry in which she confronted life and relayed it with such grace, strength and luminous insight as to inspire empathy in her readers. Compassionate, humorous and true, Angelou reminds us that “we are more alike than we are unalike.” Please join us for our final meeting as we explore the vibrant life and work of this American icon.
