Adult Literacy: New Tutor Training

Serve your community by volunteering as an Adult Literacy tutor at the Santa Barbara Public Library!

One-on-one tutors are trained and then matched with an adult English Language Learner or adult English speaker to achieve literacy, educational, and work-related goals. Tutors meet with Learners once a week for a 60-minute session at the Library or a community location for tutoring.

You will be supported with introductory training, follow-up support, and learning materials, as well as ongoing volunteer get-togethers and appreciation events!
