Details/Detalles
Join us for a special Baby & Me with American Sign Language interpreter, teacher, and early childhood specialist Michelle Walsh. Learn about how to incorporate signs to support your child’s language development. In this thirty-minute program, our storyteller will lead the group in songs, rhymes, reading, and sensory play time to develop language skills, social skills, motor skills, and community building. Please bring your own blanket.
This class is best for babies 0-14 months and their caregivers.
Michelle has a Master’s degree in Deaf Education and teaching credentials in Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing from birth to age 22 and Early Childhood Special Education. She has been working with young children for over twenty years. She joins us thanks to the coordination of August Vanderbeek, Psy.D., the creator of the nonprofit, Connecting Thru Sign Language, to which Michelle participated and contributed to for many years.
