Join SBPL and Certified Advanced Mediator and Trainer, Elizabeth Esrey, to learn about extended family dynamics and tools to improve communication around the holiday table.
It’s no wonder people say the holidays are stressful. When families come together, tensions can easily rise. The family dynamic is under the spotlight, which can be either a blessing or a curse.
It’s normal—and even expected—for families to have disagreements. Yet, many still chase the ideal of a conflict-free gathering, especially during the holidays when we wish to embody the picture-perfect family. With a mix of information, tools, and conversation we can all be better prepared for the holidays.
Certified Advanced Mediator and Trainer Elizabeth Esrey teaches mediation and conflict resolution skills. While working for the Chicago Bar Association, she designed and implemented mediation programs for the Chicago Public Schools and private businesses. Esrey holds mediation certificates from Illinois, Missouri, California, and Kansas.
