Details/Detalles

Embark on an enriching journey through history this fall with an immersive tour of El Presidio de Santa Bárbara State Historic Park in partnership with the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation. Walk the grounds that have witnessed the passage of diverse cultures, spanning from the indigenous Chumash peoples to the soldiers and clergy of Mexico and Spain to the founding and fading of Nihonmachi (Japantown) and Chinatown. Tour guides will teach about the narrative of Santa Barbara's dynamic evolution. Join us for an exploration that bridges the past, present, and future of this remarkable historical site.

Meet at the Presidio Visitor's Center at 123 E Canon Perdido St. Hourly parking is available in the adjacent lot at 115 E Canon Perdido St.

The Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation stewards the past and present of the Presidio Neighborhood and inspires preservation advocacy throughout the County in order to create a more vibrant community.
