Purpose of Meeting
The SBCC Umoja Center celebrates Black Futures Month at the library. Join us as we honor this year’s theme, “The Spirit of the Black Family Reunion,” with our kickoff event at First Thursdays, “Umoja Means Unity!” The celebration will take place in the Faulkner Gallery East and is presented in collaboration with Healing Justice of Santa Barbara, as we uplift and honor the rich Black history of Santa Barbara.
El Centro Umoja de SBCC celebra el Mes de Black Futures en la biblioteca. Acompáñanos mientras honramos el tema de este año, “El Espíritu de la Reunión Familiar Afroamericana”, con nuestro evento de inauguración en First Thursdays, “¡Umoja Significa Unidad!”. La celebración se llevará a cabo en la Galería Faulkner Oeste y se presenta en colaboración con Healing Justice de Santa Bárbara, destacando y honrando la rica historia afroamericana de la ciudad.
