Details/Detalles

Teens, join us to get your hands dirty for the community! Learn about organic gardening and support your local community garden in this 90-minute volunteer opportunity for teens in grades 9-12. Tasks include weeding, watering, mulching, harvesting, planting, and more. Training and tools will be provided! Please come prepared to bend, squat, lift, and move your body - close-toed shoes are required, and clothes you are willing to get dirty are recommended.

Teens and their parents or guardians are required to sign a volunteer agreement in advance.

This event is supported by Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation.

This project was supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
