Literacy through Cooking with A to Z Cooking
Program Type:Adult Literacy
SBPL’s Literacy Education for Adults and Families team (LEAF) invites English language learners to a special cooking class with A to Z Cooking. This program teaches cooking while offering a way to help learners improve their English language skills in a fun and interactive way and is designed for parents and caregivers and their children to participate in together. Bilingual staff will be available to assist Spanish-speakers with interpreting the instructions. Gain vocabulary, make new friends, and enjoy a good meal! This program is free, and supported by the California State Library Literacy Services grant funding.
Participants in this event may be photographed by Library staff. These photos may be used in promotional or educational publications, including in print, social media, and presentations. Please see staff if you do not consent to having your photo taken. Staff will obtain individual, signed photo releases of photographs that contain only an individual as opposed to a group.
