Program Description

Join the Library On The Go van at the Juneteenth Block Party: Joy For the People!

Juneteenth Santa Barbara is a local celebration of the national recognition of Black Independence Day. This collaborative event showcases Black culture, talent, and joy in Santa Barbara County.

Explore and check out books from the Library On The Go Van, and get connected to the Santa Barbara Public Library's digital collections, where you can enjoy ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies, and more! Additionally, join us to discover how you can check out a community or museum pass with your library card. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about and sign up for exciting upcoming library programs and events.

Commemorate Juneteenth with us in celebration of local Black efforts and fostering meaningful connections and partnerships. We invite you to join in the festivities on the 100 block of Grey Avenue, from 11am to 6pm, and be part of the joyous occasion!

Participants in this event may be photographed by Library staff. These photos may be used in promotional or educational publications, including in print, social media, and presentations. Please see staff if you do not consent to having your photo taken. Staff will obtain individual, signed photo releases of photographs that contain only an individual as opposed to a group.

In case of inclement weather, outdoor activities may be canceled. For the most up to date information, please contact the library with any questions or concerns before traveling to library events.
