Join SBPL and Family Service Agency for a free opportunity to receive support enrolling in Medi-Cal. Medi-Cal is a free or low-cost state health care program for people with low incomes and is available to those who qualify regardless of immigration status.
In 2024, California extended full-scope Medi-Cal coverage to adults aged 26 through 49, regardless of immigration status. Coverage had already been available to children and young adults and adults over 50 years old.
To determine eligibility, individuals will need:
- Driver’s license or photo ID (can include passport, school ID, marriage record, work badge or identification issued by your home country).
- Proof of income (Current pay stub or bank statement is best. If you have neither, you can describe your income to the eligibility worker.)
- Proof of where you live (can include a telephone or electric bill).
