Event Details / Detalles del evento

Join us for a limited series of Photo Walk Club! Each session, we will focus on a theme or prompt and get creative by taking photos while exploring the city. All experience levels - from seasoned professional to absolute beginner - are welcome and no expertise is required.

Meet under the Poppy Mural on Library Plaza and then we will begin our walk. Each session will have a pre-determined route and prompt/theme for the day. We will always be within walking distance of Central Library (40 East Anapamu Street).

Remember to bring:

  • something portable to take photos with (a smartphone, digital or film camera, polaroid, etc.)
  • comfortable walking shoes
  • sun protection
  • water
  • anything else you need to be comfortable.

The Library will have two polaroid cameras with film for use at the program.

After the session, submit your favorite photo(s) to be featured in SBPL’s end-of-summer community art gallery showing!

Not only will you get to take photos, but you'll meet other community members and library staff who love photography and walking. We're looking forward to seeing you there!

Disclaimer(s):

Participants in this event may be photographed by Library staff. These photos may be used in promotional or educational publications, including in print, social media, and presentations. Please see staff if you do not consent to having your photo taken. Staff will obtain individual, signed photo releases of photographs that contain only an individual as opposed to a group.

In case of inclement weather, outdoor activities may be canceled. For the most up to date information, please contact the library with any questions or concerns before traveling to library events.
