Practical Skills Workshop for Adult Literacy Tutors

If you are an Adult Literacy tutor who is currently tutoring or who has completed SBPL's New Tutor Training, join the Literacy Services Team and fellow volunteers at the Eastside Library for a hands-on tutoring skills workshop! We’ll learn new skills and hone our current practice to create a meaningful learning experience for both you and your learner.

1/27: This workshop will focus on creating effective lesson plans with your learner.

2/29: This workshop will focus on how to tutor for skilled reading and reading comprehension.

3/28: This workshop will focus on how to tutor writing skills.

4/25: This workshop will focus on how to tutor speaking and listening comprehension.

5/30: This workshop will focus on how to tutor for work, life, and health skills.

6/27: This workshop will focus on how to tutor English-Language Learners.
