Details/Detalles

Join the Library and the Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society for a special Hispanic Heritage Month display. This unique exhibition will feature traditional Mexican paper mâché dolls, poems created by members of the Santa Barbara Hispanic community, and photos of historic Santa Barbara families. In addition, the Genealogical Society will be celebrating historic Hispanic Santa Barbara families. Meet the descendants who played a key role in creating this exhibit and hear firsthand accounts of their family's history.

Curious about your own genealogy? Knowledgeable genealogists from the Genealogical Society will be on hand to help you kickstart your journey. Bring along some family details, and they’ll look up one of your ancestors on the spot!

Don't miss this unique opportunity to connect with the past and discover the fascinating stories that shape our community.

This display will be open for viewing from September 29 to October 29.

This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Visit www.calhum.org.
