Join Santa Barbara Public Library and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art on State Street once a month for a fun preschool art experience. Drop in at 2 or 2:30pm for an introduction to the art activity and then get started creating. All supplies will be provided, and children will be encouraged to take home their art pieces.
On May 19th, make Mini Garden Landscapes inspired by Pierre Bonnard’s Garden with a Small Bridge and other of his works!
Children will enjoy the tactile experience of working with water soluble pastels as they design their little landscapes by making marks on Gessoed board, dipping their crayons in water and lightly brushing to transform lines and patterns into soft painted blends.
Check out books and our monthly maker challenge at the Library on the Go Van too! Find us on State Street, just in front of the Art Museum between Anapamu and Figueroa Streets.
