Details/Detalles

Join us at Alameda Park for an exciting adventure as we share Rafael Lopez's book, We’ve Got the Whole World in Our Hands!. The pages of this inspiring book are printed on large standing signs, creating a unique walking experience for all ages. Start the story by finding sign #1 on the path near the Kids World Playground.

Many thanks to author Rafael Lopez and Orchard Books, an imprint of Scholastic Inc., for giving the Library permission to share We've Got the Whole World in Our Hands!. The Storywalk© Program is a collaboration between the City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department and the Santa Barbara Public Library.

This event is part of the Healthy People Healthy Trails Program, a community initiative from Sansum Clinic that strives to improve the health and wellbeing of community members through the use and enjoyment of trails, parks and open spaces. April has been designated as Healthy People Healthy Trails Month. All month, Sansum Clinic will be hosting hikes/walks throughout the county and encouraging community groups to join by hosting their own walks. Check out their website for more information.
